There are two different ways the alarm panel can receive information, through a controller or direct from a float switch. It can be switched from one setting to the other using the dip switches at the back of the panel. They also have a slight variation in wiring.
Controller
In the Econotreat systems the controller monitors the water level float and the air pressure switch, which is then communicated to the alarm panel.
This configuration uses the R & B inputs on the back on the panel. These must correlate to the R & B outputs inside the controller. From the controller, R is red/brown and B is Blue.
Direct Float
In Naturalflow systems or Pump stations, the float is connected directly to the alarm panel in the house. The alarm panel monitors the float position directly.
WARNING - The panel must be disconnected from power when altering the configuration
The display can be changed by altering the dip switched on the back of the panel. There is a quick reference next to the switch showing how they should be setup:
Naturalflow - NF - 1 up & 2 down (direct comms, use R&E inputs)
Pump Station - PS - 1 down & 2 up (direct comms, use R&E inputs)
Econotreat - ET - both down (controller comms, use R&B inputs)
