There are two different ways the alarm beacon can receive information, through a controller or direct from a float switch. It can be switched from one setting to the other using the dip switches in the beacon controller. They also have a slight variation in wiring.
Controller
In the Econotreat systems the controller monitors the water level float and the air pressure switch, which is then communicated to the alarm panel.
This configuration uses the R & B inputs on the back on the panel. These must correlate to the R & B outputs inside the beacon controller. From the controller, R is red/brown and B is Blue.
Direct Float
In Naturalflow systems or Pump stations, the float is connected directly to the alarm beacon controller. The alarm beacon monitors the float position directly.
Mute Button
The beacon gives an audible and visual alarm. Pressing the mute button on the top of the light will mute it for 20hrs, the light will continue to flash until the alarm state is rectified.
WARNING - The panel must be disconnected from power when altering the configuration
The display can be changed by altering the dip switch inside the controller. There is a quick reference next to the switch showing how they should be setup:
Open Closed circuit - WAT - 1 up & 2 down (direct comms, use R&E inputs)
Alarm Signal - SIG- both down (controller comms, use R&B inputs)
